So pretty much what I expected for the first day. We didn't do so much, just talking and introductions, games and ice breakers. That sort of thing. Oh, and there are a couple of idiots in the group too. I hope they cool down before long, or else something unfortunate may happen to them mysteriously.
All the classes were interesting, to say the least. There are some cliques among the older group, either because they go to school together or they're all Hurrah people. (By the way, I happen to be the oldest at the camp, me being 17 and a senior in high school. :/ )
My sister tagged along on this camp, so it's been a little hard to really break out and hang out with the people I want to hang out with. I am going to admit that it bugs me that she didn't care that my mom was putting her in this camp. Especially when public speaking isn't her strong point. I would have rather had her do something in school, not pay 100-some dollars to "experiment" over the summer. Agh...
But all in all, I think it'll be a bright two weeks. Unless Jordan is being an idiot again. Or the people won't shut up when we need to get stuff done. Sometimes it's hard being the oldest in a group like this.
I think I may very well join the Hurrah Players this fall. They are doing "Seussical...the Musical" for their fall production, which I would really like to do. I still am not sure if I want to be that involved with Chorus at school this year. It depends on how I like Mr. Prescott. :/
That's all for now. I may pop another blog tomorrow.
